These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Price Ping mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service") operated by Price Ping ("we", "our", or "us"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement. The Service is intended for use by residents of Canada.
2. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
3. User-Submitted Content
Price Ping is a community-driven platform. When you submit a price, you represent that:
- The price information is accurate to the best of your knowledge
- You personally observed or verified the price at the stated store
- The submission is for a real product available at a real Canadian store
You grant Price Ping a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to display, distribute, and use your submitted content within the Service. If you delete your account, your submissions remain anonymously in the database to preserve community data.
4. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Submit false, misleading, or fabricated price information
- Spam or flood the platform with duplicate submissions
- Use the Service to scrape, harvest, or collect data in bulk
- Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or disrupt the Service
- Create multiple accounts to manipulate votes or submissions
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Impersonate another person or entity
We reserve the right to remove any content and suspend any account that violates these rules without prior notice.
5. Accuracy of Price Information
Price information on Price Ping is submitted by community members and may not be current, accurate, or available at the time of your visit to a store. Price Ping does not guarantee the accuracy of any submitted prices. Always verify prices in-store before making purchasing decisions. We are not responsible for any loss or inconvenience resulting from reliance on price information in the Service.
6. Intellectual Property
The Price Ping name, logo, and all original content, features, and functionality of the Service are owned by Price Ping and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our proprietary materials without our written consent.
7. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with Google Sign-In and Microsoft Sign-In. Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third-party providers.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Use of the Service is at your own risk.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Price Ping shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Ontario, Canada.
11. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
